A Dino Capybara Plush With a Crest and No Menace

The dino capybara plush hides a very calm rodent inside a sage green dinosaur hood, spine crest standing up on the crown, two round cartoon eyes on the sides and a row of white felt teeth framing the opening. Pink cheek patches keep the whole thing friendly rather than toothy. The capybara underneath is the usual caramel brown with its eyes shut, which is the entire joke: the least threatening animal alive, dressed as a reptile.

The Dinosaur Hood Detaches in a Second

The hood is its own piece, tied loosely under the chin, and comes off with one hand so you can switch between the dinosaur and the plain capybara whenever you like. The teeth are cut from felt and sewn along the rim rather than printed, so they keep their zigzag shape, and the crest is stuffed firmly enough to stand up on its own without any plastic inside.

Three Formats, 9 in, 11 in and 15 in

9 in (22 cm) sits on a desk and travels in a bag, 11 in (28 cm) is the everyday hugging size, and 15 in (38 cm) is the one that takes over a corner of a bed. The build is identical across the three: plush polyester outside, springy synthetic fiberfill inside, embroidered eyes and nose with nothing hard to press against. Heights are the published figures for this model and are indicative; the green can read slightly deeper or lighter from one batch to the next.
