A Shark Hat Capybara Plush With the Calmest Predator Around

This shark hat capybara plush pulls a slate blue shark hood over a warm brown capybara, complete with a white felt tooth line, side fins and a small gill mark on each cheek. The contrast is the whole joke: the fiercest hat in the ocean sitting on the most relaxed animal on land. At 9 in (22 cm) it is a solid, chunky plush that holds its shape when squeezed and sits flat on its own without leaning.

The Hood and the Little Shark Bag Both Come Off

The hood is a separate piece that fastens loosely under the chin, so it comes away with one hand and leaves a plain brown capybara behind. So does the small shark face pouch it carries on its straps. Keep both on for the full costume, take them off for the everyday version, or split the difference. The blue fabric is the same short pile plush used on the body, and the white teeth are sewn on rather than printed, so they will not flake or peel with handling.

One Generous 9 in Format Made to Be Hugged

There is a single size here and it lands in the sweet spot: 9 in (22 cm), wide enough to fill both hands, light enough to carry around the house. The shell is plush polyester, the filling is springy synthetic fiberfill, and the face is embroidered flat into the fabric. The height is the published figure for this model and is indicative; the exact blue of the hood can vary a little from one piece to another.
